This week’s vision exercises are centered around one of the simplest but most powerful tools in vision therapy: the Hart Chart.
The Hart Chart is more than just a page of random letters. It’s designed to challenge how your eyes team, focus, and shift between targets. By using both a near and a far chart, you can train the fine motor control of your eye muscles, improve clarity, and reduce strain that builds up during daily tasks like reading, computer work, or driving.

Why we’re using the Hart Chart
Every time you look from your phone to the TV, from your notes to the board, or from the dashboard to the road ahead, your eyes have to rapidly change focus and alignment. For people with binocular vision dysfunction, this process can be slow, tiring, or unstable. The Hart Chart provides a controlled way to practice those transitions until they become smoother and automatic.
Benefits of Hart Chart Training
Sharper eye coordination: Builds the muscle control needed to keep both eyes aligned on the same target.
Reduced symptoms: Can ease headaches, dizziness, and eye strain that come from poor vergence control.
Faster recovery: Helps eyes switch quickly between near and far work, so daily tasks feel easier.
Better endurance: Strengthens the visual system so reading and screen time feel less exhausting.
Awareness of vision: Teaches you how to notice when things go double or blurry and how to regain control.
What to expect this week
