🔴 How does Vision Therapy help?

LEARNING RELATED VISUAL PROBLEMS

Visual skill deficiencies such as poor eye teaming, focusing, tracking, and visualization skills can all negatively affect learning. Vision therapy has shown to be effective in treating these conditions.

CROSSED EYES AND LAZY EYE

Crossed eyes and/or lazy eyes can be treated with vision therapy instead of surgery. Vision therapy has been proven effective for these conditions at any age.

STRESS-INDUCED VISUAL PROBLEMS

Children and adults who do extensive near work in front of a computer screen experience eye strain, headaches and other vision-related difficulties. Vision therapy has shown to improve symptoms caused by stress-induced vision problems.

STROKE AND OTHER BRAIN INJURIES

Crossed eyes and/or lazy eyes can be treated with vision therapy instead of surgery. Vision therapy has been proven effective for these conditions at any age.

DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS

Visual skill deficiences related to delayed development can be treated with vision therapy.

SPORTS VISION IMPROVEMENT

Athletes who have great vision but difficulties with hand-eye coordination, visual reaction time, peripheral awareness, eye teaming, focusing, tracking, and visualization skills can receive vision therapy.

🔴 What are the goals of vision therapy?

When the eyes move, align, fixate, and focus together, whole new possibilities arise for the future. With successful treatment, patients may find that learning becomes easier, reading level and speed increase, time spent on homework decreases, the ability to follow moving objects improves, seeing objects nearby or at a distance improves, visualizing mental images becomes easier, grades in multiple subjects improve, self-confidence improves, and happiness follows. The rate at which patients experience these improvements will vary but general progression is seen in all patients.
